Privacy Policy for aparent

aparent ("the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that scores apartment listings on imobiliare.ro for long-term rental investment potential. This policy describes what information the extension handles and how.

1. Information collected

The extension only collects personal information in one specific case: when a user voluntarily submits their email address through the optional waitlist form inside the extension panel.

The information collected at that point is:

• Email address (provided by the user)
• Optional feature interests selected from preset checkboxes
• The URL of the imobiliare.ro listing page where the form was submitted (used solely for debugging)
• The build version of the extension at the time of submission (used solely for debugging)

No other personal information is collected, and no data is collected automatically without the user's explicit action.

2. Information stored locally on your device

The extension uses your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember manual inputs you enter into the scoring panel — such as seismic risk class, heating type, renovation state, and similar fields — so that the panel preserves your inputs the next time you open the same listing.

This locally-stored data:

• Stays on your computer at all times
• Is never transmitted to us or to any third party
• Is scoped per listing URL
• Can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data in your browser settings

3. Third-party processors

When you submit the optional waitlist form, your email address and selected feature interests are sent to Web3Forms, a form-handling service that delivers the submission as an email to the developer of this extension. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf.

The extension does not use analytics, advertising, telemetry, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking of any kind.

4. How the data is used

Email addresses submitted to the waitlist are used solely to notify users when new product features launch. They are not sold, rented, shared, or used for any purpose other than waitlist communication.

5. Data retention

Email addresses are kept until you request their deletion or until the waitlist is no longer active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data

7. Children

The extension is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the extension itself or communicated to waitlist subscribers.
